Bubba turns three months this week, he is increasingly getting stronger and staying awake a lot longer during the day. I think he takes like three or four thirty minute naps. He also has been staying up longer at night and then sleeping till morning. Last night he went to bed at 11 and woke up at 630 to eat then went back down till 9am. In the mornings he has been waking up and just laying in his bed and plays moves and chats with the ceiling haha it's so cute!! He hasn't been much of a paci baby up till now, but I recently bought him the next size up in the tomee tipee brand nuks and he seems to like them more, and almost requires one if he is having a hard time falling asleep.
He is eating every 2.5 to 3 hours for 15 mins on one side which is exciting that he is now nursing so much faster! He is quite a pro at it also, doesn't really matter where or what position he is great at it!
We went on a long trip to Alaska and a lot of it was in the car bc the state is so huge, but both the boys did awesome in the car and bubba only cried when he was really hungry.
He was in disposables majority of the trip so this month haven't been in cloth diapers all that much. But now that we are back I am so happy to have him back on cloth, he had a blowout every day we were in disposables it was so annoying!!
He loves being on the floor on his tummy watching big brother play cars and trains, and listening to him talk.
Bubba is such a happy baby he loves it when someone talks to him and he will almost always smile back and chat a bit.
Boo boo is still loving having a little brother, and is always eager to help him out.
We are so blessed to have two adorable little boys!! Love them both so much!!

Nick's LoveLife 5K Walk/ Run
I am a part of a foundation my family started in memory of my brother to raise money to help end childhood cancer. My brother was diagnosed with osteosarcoma when he was 16 years old. He fought it for 4 and a half years, he was a great guy and if you would have met him you would never have known he had a deadly disease. He loved life and didnt let cancer get in the way of his dreams. Unfortunately the lord had better plans for him and he left us here in March of 2010. The Nick Reamer Osteosarcoma Foundation was established in November 2010 and is a 501(c) non-profit organization. We host 3 main events each year, one in the spring (walking tacos stand at the garage sales in our neighborhood) in the summer (Nick's LoveLife 5K Walk/ Run) and one in the fall (Nickadeamous' Tricked Out Truck & Car Show) All of the profits raised at each event is used to either help support families with childhood cancers or is donated to Childrens Hospitals & Clinics of MN for research for childhood cancers.
In just a few weeks the Nick's LoveLife 5K Walk/ Run will be happening in Coon Rapids, MN. I realize not everyone reading is in the area but I just wanted to spread the word on the event and our foundation. Here's the details:

Cloth Diaper Report- 2
Month Two
How many diapers a day used? 4-6
How many wipes? 1 per change
What brand/ style fit best? Softbums/ AI2 ECHO still and Mud Butts AI2
Were you able to reuse your AI2 shells during the same day? If so how many times? Yes about 1-2x
What fit problems did you have? figuring out what soaker will last till the next time I feed him, usually every 2-3 hours
and being in between rise snaps sizes..
What was the print/ color you grabbed the most? Mud Butt Giraffe print AI2
What type of insert/ soakers worked the best? Mud butt ai2 soakers for overnight, WAHM made Bamboo /Hemp soakers, then SB bamboo reg pod
The worst? the minis alone arent enough, 2 works ok, the prefits are too small an he soaks the gl doubles in 2 hrs & needs a fleece liner over it to keep him feeling dry.
Did you have any blowouts?
none
What was your washing schedule like? Regular wash in hot/ cold cycle 2x rinse, sun dry the stained shells and soakers, machine dry the rest. Air dry most shells, unless i need one right away, washing every other day.
Love it or hate it? Love how cute he looks in them, hate how some of his 3 month clothes dont fit anymore because of the extra fluff.. love not having blowouts. Not loving to wash so much so I bought some more diapers to put into our rotation. :)
Things you learned?
I could use our kawaii minky snap diapers he wasn't even on the smallest setting, with one xl mf soaker.

2 Months!!
Bubba is 2 months old today! It's crazy how fast time is flying!! He got to meet grandma & grandpa f & aunt & cousins this past week who drove out here from MN to see him, and he is really enjoying the extra attention!! Boo boo is loving his baby brother so much and loves to sing abcs to him whenever he is crabby, so cute.
Bubba has already gained 15 lbs almost doubled his birthweight and 23.5 inches! He is primarily wearing 3-6 month clothes and is cloth diapered full time in his one sized diapers that seem to fit very well.
He is eating every 3 hours during the day usually 20 mins on both sides finally and at night will nurse a lot then sleep a big 5 hr stretch then eat then another 4 hr stretch I am so happy. With boo boo he wasn't sleeping this well till like 4 or 5 months..
He can pretty much hold his head up by himself, and he really enjoys sitting in his bouncy seat, not so much his swing anymore.
He so far is a good traveler in the car, he will complain only when he's getting hungry. That is good bc we travel a lot.
He is not much of a fan of the nuk, but will entertain the idea ifs very once in a while so we always have one handy.
Bubba is such a cutie he really enjoys listening to bedtime stories. He smiles a lot when you talk to him and he tries to talk back.
Here are some pictures from this month

Midweek snack
Well I finally jumped back on the bandwagon to lose the last of my baby weight from bubba. This week I started using myfitnesspal app again to track my food intake, which I used before and lost 20 lbs before I got pregnant. This week I also went to Zumba for the first time in 10 months and it felt so great!! I missed it so much and it felt great!
Well I threw together this easy snack for lunch today and it was so delish I thought I would share!
Cottage cheese dip
It's 1/2 cup of cottage cheese
1 tbsp of onion soup mix
1 oz of pita chips for dipping (about 28 chips)
200 calories
Yum enjoy!

Cloth Diaper Report- 1
Once a month I plan on taking an evaluation of our current cloth diapering needs & issues.
Thanks for following me!
Month One
How many diapers a day used? 4-6
How many wipes? 2 per change
Cloth Diapers used? Softbums AI2 Echo & Omni OS Aplix, Grovia AI2 OS Aplix, My homemade nb size diapers aplix
Cloth Diapers used? Softbums AI2 Echo & Omni OS Aplix, Grovia AI2 OS Aplix, My homemade nb size diapers aplix
What brand/ style fit best? Softbums/ AI2 ECHO, the omni is just a bit big, my homemade nb sized diapers only fit him up till week 3, but fit great till then.
Were you able to reuse your AI2 shells during the same day? If so how many times? Yes 1-2 times on average
What fit problems did you have? figuring out the right leg elastic length, so its tight enough to contain the pee and not to tight that it leaves red marks on his legs.
What was the print/ color you grabbed the most? Nuclear Orange Softbum Echo, then Blueberry echo
What type of insert/ soakers worked the best? WAHM "FluffyRumps" prefits for the first 3 weeks, then Softbums Bamboo mini pods, at 4 weeks 2 bamboo mini pods works
The worst? Greenline nb size bamboo soaker, was just too wet feeling and soaked within 2 hours.
Did you have any blowouts? One time wearing a Grovia AI2 OS, I think they were just too big for him at 4 weeks. Came out the leg opening. We also had some pee up the top of the SB shells before we got the fit down.
What was your washing schedule like? hour cold soak, then reg wash 2x rinse, sun dry the stained shells and soakers, machine dry the rest. every other day. (update: dont soak anymore it breaks down the material much faster, now just do a extra rinse)
Love it or hate it? Love how soft the cloth diapers are against his little bum, Hate how his EBF poo stains so easily, Love how awsome the sun naturally bleaches the stains out!!
Things you learned? Make sure the soakers are stuffed in the shell around the legs otherwise the pee will leak out onto clothes, Make sure to keep 3 diapers in the diaper bag without a doubt he will poop more when we are out then at home. Always put him in your second favorite diaper first, bc guarentee he will poop in the first one within 5 mins of the diaper change. LOL
Some fit pictures:
1 Week old 8lbs
2 weeks old 9lbs
NB sized diaper, 3 weeks old
4 weeks old 11lbs

Trip to San Francisco
Two weeks ago we decided we wanted to cross off something off our list of places we want to go while we are living in CA. This was after some friends of ours found out they were moving back home and went to one of the other places we also want to visit before we leave (Yosemite).
So last minute we booked a hotel and some other arrangements and committed to go.
Things we wanted to see an do were Alcatraz, Giants baseball game, ride a trolley, and see the golden gate bridge.
We left for our destination on Saturday morning, originally planned on leaving after Bubbas feeding at 5 or 6am but he decided to be awake from 1-330am so this mama needed more sleep than that before hitting the road. We all woke up at 730am and started getting ready to go. I fed Bubba and got Boo Boo dressed and Hubs packed up our car with all our stuff we had packed the night before.
I packed a tote bin full of snacks (raisins, pretzels, granola bars) books boo boo hasnt read in a while, a couple hot wheels, his chuck truck and some play foam. We put it between the two car seats so Boo Boo could rifle through it on his own with out asking for this and that.
We live about 4.5 hours from there so we expected it to be a long trip. What we didnt expect was that Bubba would want to eat every 2 hours on the dot, it made for an extra long trip there.. but we had to stop for gas and potty and food anyways.
We stopped in Livermore, CA for lunch at Mikes Mountain Pizza, and it was awesome! I nursed Bubba in the parking lot and Hubs and Boo Boo ordered food and found the arcade, that Boo boo did not want to part with to eat or leave.. Big surprise right.. lol
Once we finally got there we went straight to golden gate park, to check it out.. Well that didnt last long because there was no where to park anywhere. It was crazy busy and there wasnt much we wanted to do there anyways with both the boys. So we headed to the hotel to check in.
We checked in and all took a nap, it was a long day already and we were exhausted.. Around 6pm we decided to go look for dinner.. haha we walked down to pier one that was a couple blocks from our hotel and found great burger joint called Gotts Roadside. It was no ordinary burger place however, we ordered a bottle of wine, and I got Ahi Burger and hubs got Wisconsin Sourdough, and boo boo got two mini hot dogs and fries, and we all shared some chili spiced sweet potato fries. It was so incredible! Mmmmm
That night they delivered boo boos roll away bed and I honestly didnt even think about bedtime being a issue, but we followed our regular routine and it took him about 30 mins to whine down and fall asleep. Meaning him asking whats that noise about 500 times.. lol It was hard but we just laid in bed and ignored him and if he got up we just put him back in bed and said nothing. The next night he did awesome and fell asleep in about 5 mins.
The next day hubs and boo boo woke up around 8am and quietly got dressed and let momma and brother continue to sleep. They walked to the park and chased pigeons and then on the way back stopped at the safeway and picked up some breakfast!
Once we were all full we headed down to the pier again to check out the ferry marketplace. It was pretty cool, lots of little shops of homemade breads, cheese, candles, froyo, beer, wine, and others. We walked around there for about and hour and half, someone got too tired and wanted to be carried lol and then headed back to the hotel for nap time.
We had plans to get on a tour boat for the big fireworks show under the golden gate bridge for the 75th anniversary. We had to get on the boat at 8pm, so after naptime we headed down to the pier agan to hop on the cable car to get down to pier 39 where the boat leaves from. Well we stood in line forever and then we decided we would rather get a ride from one of the bike taxis instead of being cramped in the cable car..
We made it to pier 39 by 600pm and went to find the restaraunt hubs wanted to go to, and there was a 40 min wait.. but we had time so I went shopping in the souvenir shop and the boys went exploring. I had to learn how to nurse bubba in my ergo carrier while we were out because there really wasnt anywhere I could go to nurse him. Fortunately we figured it out quite easily and it was no problem. Actually it was much easier then fighting with a silly nursing cover.. only problem with nursing him in the baby carrier is that people dont realize thats whats going on till they have already poked there head in to see the baby lol..
I got alot of funny comments while nursing him while standing in line for the bathroom.. "He is getting the best meal in the house" and "Oh your going to be able to tell him he was at the 75th Anniversary of the GG bridge!" LOL and alot of "just wait till he is up here and running all over the place," trust me lady I know that one I got one outside.. lol!
It was a brisk day and luckily I grabbed our blankets for the boat ride because once we got down there it was really starting to get cold. After dinner we walked to the boat and there was a line that went all the way down the boardwalk which was about 700 people it seemed.. All waiting to get on the same charter! We wrapped up in the blankets and stood in line for about 30mins before we got on.
The fireworks were amazing! Even though it was really cold and windy out on the water it was worth it! We also got to see Alcatraz up close both ways and that was pretty sweet too. Its alot closer to the city than we both expected.
Once we got off the boat there were so many people trying to get on the cable car and buses again so we just decided to walk back.. It was a very long walk! We were so tired once we got back to the hotel I think we all fell asleep within 5 mins.
The next day we got up and got the room all packed up and checked out of the hotel. We drove around the city a while then headed to ghirardelli square to get some bfast. We hit up the chocolate shop for some ghirardelli hot fudge sundae to share and then walked down to the shore and got some hot dogs lol We saw the line for the trolley and decided not to wait, we had a Giants game to get to. So we hopped in the truck and drove through union sqaure and then parked at the stadium. We had awesome seats at the game, but unfortunately both the boys had enough after 2 innings. Basically was too cold for how we were dressed (bad planning on my part) and boo boo was tired. So we walked around the stadium and checked it all out, stopped at the bathrooms and then headed back to the truck to hit the road.
On the way home we stopped in Turlock for dinner, Red Robin which we havent had in forever. Then I got super pumped when I remembered that there was a Dutch Bros in Fresno on the way home. So we stopped there for some Fantastic coffee and switched drivers. When we lived in Oregon & Washington Dutch Bros was all over the place, so I really miss it alot living down here where there isnt any. We didnt make it home until midnight! But both the boys were awsome in the car both ways and it was such a fun first trip with our new family of four!
I will add more pictures later when I upload them from my phone.
