Kelsey Capri is here!

Wednesday December 2nd: Well it looks like we'll be heading to the hospital tomorrow I will call labor and delivery 6 a.m. to see if they have a spot for us for induction! Super nervous / anxious over here. Dan is at the hospital visiting his dad who has been in the hospital for the last week since Sunday when we're at Beth's house for Thanksgiving he exhibited signs of a stroke he has been in the hospital ever since trying to get his heart rate under control.

I'm going to try and take a bath tonight to relax a little and hope to get a good night's sleep before tomorrow I highly doubt that will happen I'm so nervous I hope everything goes well.

Thursday December 3rd: Called labor and delivery at 6 they told me they had a spot for me and to come in at 7:15 AM. We dropped the boys off at Alicia's and took one last picture before heading to the hospital. Man it is so weird entering the hospital with all of our stuff without being actually in labor like the last pregnancies, weird doesn't even describe it!  We were checked in and in our room within minutes the nurse came in and hooked me up to an IV and I got me all registered about 10 minutes later my doctor arrived and she checked me I was already at 4 centimeters and started the induction which entailed only rupturing my water which to my surprise didn't hurt at all, after I got all hooked up to the heart rate monitor and they started the pitocin drip I started having contractions around 9-930. Not knowing how long this laboring was going to take I decided to get up and walk around we took two walks down the length of the hallway and got back to the room where we met the nurse at this point the contractions were coming one minute apart and I was in a lot of pain the nurse told me if I was going to get an epidural now would be the time! About five minutes later the anesthesiologist came in and started putting the epidural in after about 15 to 20 minutes it was in and she had given me the numbing agent but not yet hooked up the epidural medication when I started having the urge to push so the nurse called for my doctor who arrived just in time for me to push baby Kelsey out in two contractions.

Kelsey Capri Fredrickson was born at 11:14 a.m. weighing 7 pounds 4 ounces 19 and a half inches long she had some bruising on her face but overall was healthy baby girl!

After (the golden hour) as the hospital calls it. Which is where we are given time to nurse and bond with baby alone in delivery room, our nurse came in and weighed and measured her. Them we headed to our postpartum room upstairs.

We had several visitors that day the first being Caiden and Connor of course. Along with Alicia and her crew, next was Grandma Fran, Beth and Jordan and their kids and finally my parents Jen and Miranda.

The boys showed up with flowers in pink shirts and they were so excited to meet their baby sister Caiden was in love and Connor was kind of scared because she was crying when it was loud.

We had two other visitors the following day Agatha & Maritza and her kids and we finally got out of the hospital Saturday December 5th.

We are so thankful for all the visitors and the gifts they brought for us!! Love!!

I was very impressed with the hospital and nursing staff they were so on top of things and we has a very pleasant expirience!!

39 weeks

Went to my 39 week appt. Saw the ob dr bc my midwife was off this week for thanksgiving. Ugh.

Still 3cm 60-70% effaced

I discussed with her my concerns with my past labor expirience with Connors being super fast and chaotic with making sure the boys had childcare. She said my cervix is favorable for induction. So we scheduled that for Thursday this week.

Hoping she decided to come on her own before then but if not so excited to know we will meet her soon!

My last weigh on was 219. So overall gain of 30 lbs.

38 weeks -spaghetti squash

This week's appt I gained 2 lbs from last week! Lol

Still at 3 cm dilated and 60% effaced so no progress really. Which is kinda disappointing but I haven't felt any Braxton hicks all week or pressure si I guess I can't complain.

Caiden's birthday was on sunday so I think I was holding back. But clearly she is comfy in there.

I have been so hormonal, going from laughing to sobbing in a minute. Which thankfully hasn't been the norm up until recently. I'm not sure the reason.

My next appt is Monday I'm hoping for more progress, but if not I just need to be patient because waiting on a girl apparently starts in the womb! Lol.

36 weeks - cantalope

This week snuck up on me.  I had my 36 week appt today, my Dr said I am 2.5cm and 50 % effaced.  Almost exactly where I was at this stage with connor. It will be interesting to see if she decides to come sooner or later like her big bro.

Everyone is getting more excited to meet this little one. Caiden initially wanted her to come on his birthday as a present. but has since changed his mind and said the 21st would be ok. Connor said he wasn't ready for a sister, but is excited to play with her, and he prays for her almost every night.  Dan can't believe he is going to be a father of 3 kids.

I am so blessed to have made it this far it has been a great pregnancy and I am as anxious as ever to finally meet the little girl I have shared so much with the past 9 months. I am nervous that im due for something to go wrong or need a csection or something but I pray that a it's going to be fine. That's all I can do.

I think total this pregnancy I have gain 28lbs which is good. I really thought I would have continued to workout more with this pregnancy but it was just not in the cards. Taking care of a house and 2 kiddos is more physical work that you expect when you wake up tired and fatigue. Lol So needless to say I am so eager to get back to the gym and go to zumba, piyo and spin again I miss it so much! It had become such a big part of my life in the last year before getting pregnant I found that I am able to reconnect with myself when I am there and get the nessesary "me time" I need to be a better mom. I know it is going to be hard to find the time to work it back into the schedule with 3 kids in tow but I am optimistic because I know I need it.

Between last 2 weeks it was pretty exciting for us!

We had our ultrasound and that went well, it was Dans first appt and the baby was breach so was very easy to see head and watch movements. It was a first for us to be able to see a baby chewing in there, which was pretty funny. We decided not to find out the gender at the us appt and have her put it in an envelope instead.
That week I prepared everything we needed for out gender reveal party and had a friend fill a baseball pinyata for us with either pink or blue candy and confetti.

That Saturday we headed to the concert with cousin Allison and had a great time. I am super astonished at my energy level that night!

Sunday was the day of the big party. We had tons of help setting up from everyone and I am very greatful for that! Dan enjoyed smoking a couple pork butts all day for the event and our food was amazing complete with pulled pork bar, sliders, nachos and tacos with toppings . Cole slaw, and fresh fruit, potato salad and baked beans. To my surprise mt neighbor made a fantastic cake for the party and blew us away. After we all ate we had the kids take a wacky at the pinyata until Dan finally took over and busted open and surprise it's a girl!! Pink shit all over the floor! We had everyone take a vote when they arrived and the majority of people were right. It was a fun but very exhausting day. So glad we had so many if our friends and family were able to come and celebrate this baby with us!!

We're Pregnant!!

Yes, we were successful in conceiving Baby Freddy #3. We tried for two months unsuccessfully then to our surprise month three we got lucky.

I found out the morning of April 1st. Took a digital test first thing and didn't check it till naptime same day. To my surprise it read pregnant. Immediately I took another which also read pregnant. I thought for sure it was an April fools day joke. Lol so I waited another day and it was still positive.

I decided to wait till that Sunday " Easter" to tell hubby.

I planned on hiding an Easter basket for him to find with the positve test and this paper:

I decided to give him it on Saturday instead. The kids wore their new shirts I made for them also.
